Roadside Assistance

24/7 Roadside Assistance — Fixed Where You Are, Not Towed

Most breakdowns don't need a recovery truck at all — they need someone competent to sort the problem where the vehicle is standing. Road Buddy provides 24/7 roadside assistance across Warwickshire and the Midlands, fixing what can be fixed on the spot and only moving to recovery if the fault genuinely can't be resolved there.

We fix at the roadside first

A flat tyre, a dead battery or a wheel nut that won't budge doesn't always mean the vehicle needs to go anywhere. Our vans carry the tools and stock to deal with the most common roadside problems on site, so recovery is the backup plan rather than the default one.

What we actually do at the roadside

  • Fitting a replacement tyre or, where the damage allows, assessing whether a repair is realistic
  • Jump-starting a car with a flat battery so you can get moving again
  • Changing a wheel using your spare or a replacement tyre we carry
  • Removing seized or rounded locking wheel nuts so a wheel can come off at all

When we move to recovery instead

If the fault turns out to be something we can't resolve on the roadside — a mechanical failure, an electrical fault beyond a flat battery, or damage that makes the vehicle unsafe to drive even after our visit — we'll say so honestly and arrange recovery rather than leave you stranded with a bill for a fix that hasn't worked.

Staying safe while you wait

  • Put your hazard lights on as soon as you realise there's a problem
  • If you can, pull onto the hard shoulder, a layby or the nearside verge rather than stopping in a live lane
  • Exit the vehicle from the nearside (the side away from moving traffic) wherever possible
  • On a motorway, get behind the safety barrier and well away from the carriageway — do not wait in or beside the car
  • Wear a hi-vis vest if you have one, especially in low light
  • If you or anyone else is in danger, call 999 before calling us

What to tell us when you call

A clear location (postcode, junction number, or a nearby landmark), what the vehicle is doing, and how many people are with you lets us send the right van with the right kit the first time. If you're not sure what's wrong, that's fine — describe the symptoms and we'll work it out.

How this differs from a breakdown membership

A subscription breakdown policy charges you year-round whether you break down or not, and often adds excess call-out charges or mileage limits when you do. Road Buddy works the other way round: no membership, no annual fee, just a direct call when you actually need help and a price agreed before we come out.

Where we cover, and when

We operate 24 hours a day, every day, across Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth, Coventry, Rugby, Stratford-upon-Avon, Nuneaton and Southam. We typically aim to reach customers within about 30–45 minutes on average, though this depends on your location, the time of day and current demand.
