Car Transport
Car Transport | Booked Vehicle Transport & Delivery Nationwide
Not every vehicle move is an emergency. Road Buddy offers booked, planned car transport for auction collections, dealer deliveries, private sales and classic cars, arranged in advance with a fixed collection and delivery time rather than an urgent roadside response.

- Booked ahead with a confirmed collection and delivery window
- Condition photos taken at both collection and delivery
- Quoted by distance and vehicle type, not urgency
A planned move, not an emergency call-out
Car transport is booked in advance around your timetable rather than reacted to at the roadside. That means we can quote precisely, plan the route, and confirm collection and delivery windows before the day itself, which suits anyone moving a vehicle that's roadworthy but simply needs to be somewhere else.
Typical journeys we handle
- Auction collections, taking a purchased vehicle from the auction house to its new home or a workshop
- Dealer deliveries, moving stock between sites or to a buyer
- Private sales, where buyer and seller are some distance apart and neither wants to drive it themselves
- Project and classic cars that aren't insured, taxed or fit to be driven on the road
- Storage moves, into or out of long-term storage facilities
Booking ahead
Give us the collection and delivery addresses, the vehicle details, and your preferred dates, and we'll confirm a price and a window. Booking further ahead generally gives more flexibility on timing, though we can often accommodate shorter notice for straightforward local moves.
Condition photos at collection and delivery
Before the vehicle is loaded, we photograph its condition — panels, wheels, glass and interior — and do the same again at the point of delivery. This gives both parties a clear record of the vehicle's condition either side of transit, which matters particularly for classic, modified or high-value cars.
What we need from you
| Item | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Keys | To load, position and unload the vehicle safely |
| Contact name and number at both ends | So the driver can confirm arrival and resolve access questions on the day |
| Access details | Gate codes, parking restrictions or site rules at either address |
| Vehicle condition notes | Existing damage, non-runner status or anything unusual about the car |
Project and classic cars
Cars that aren't roadworthy, taxed or insured for the road are exactly the kind of job planned transport suits — there's no question of driving it, and the timetable can be built around when the vehicle is actually accessible rather than an emergency. We take the same care over these as any high-value load, given how much harder some parts are to source or repair if damaged.
Quoted by distance, not urgency
Because these are planned jobs, pricing is based on distance, vehicle size and any access complications, rather than the time-sensitive premium that applies to an emergency recovery. Longer, straightforward motorway routes are usually more cost-effective per mile than short trips through difficult access.
